'DOPEY BASTARDS'

Dublin rapper NUGGET has been grafting hard on the Irish hip-hop scene for over 7 years and has established himself as one of the most popular MC's in the country. He has performed and battled in venues all over Dublin, as well as Belfast, London, Brighton and Edinburgh. He released his first mix tape 'The Nugget Ya Love To Hate' in early 2009.


Known for his hard-hitting punch lines, his battles clock tens of thousands of views and have been featured on DFITV's tv show on DCTV. In 2010 released his second album 'Ready To Diet', an honest and personal insight into his life and struggles. Rap Ireland describes the album: 'Nugget delivers content and lyrics that are easy to relate to, and has the unique ability to portray serious topics without losing the down-to-earth sense of humor he is renowned for.' KIT FRYATT

'TARDY STEPS HER SILENT MAIN'

KIT FRYATT was born in 1978 in Tehran, and grew up in Singapore, Turkey and England. She moved to Ireland in 1999. In 2008 she set up Wurm im apfel with Dylan Harris, and from 2010 organised Wurm events and publishing solo.

 

In 2009 she won the Stinging Fly prize for the poem 'Ghastlymake', which was also the first poem to win the prize in its history. Recent book publications include: Rain Down Can (Shearsman) and turn push | turn pull (corrupt press). More information at Wurm im apfel.
